If you have a petrol or diesel powered car or van, keep the tank full of fuel and keep the battery charged. (An electric car is useless for this, by the way.)
If there is another serious lockdown or an energy shortage, you can use your car’s power to make hot drinks or boil water to fill a hot water bottle. And you can use your car to recharge your mobile phone or ipad.
Make sure you have a kettle that fits your car’s cigar lighter – and that you have the leads to connect your phone etc., to the car’s power.
