- The MCC (a cricket club and possibly the world’s most woke organisation) claims that it purchases electricity from a wind farm in the Irish Sea. This may be so but unless a special cable runs from the wind farm to St John’s Wood in London, I am afraid that the electricity that the club uses (and which dribbles out of the sockets in the pavilion) comes from the National Grid, and the electricity in the National Grid contains the stuff produced from wind farms all mixed up with the stuff obtained from burning bits of tree, lumps of coal and oil and natural gas.
